Events and Programs

52nd Annual ElkFest

Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 7:00AM-1:00PM on Jackson Town Square. A significant portion of auction proceeds go back to habitat enhancement projects on the Refuge. Grand Teton Association(GTA) is a proud participant in this annual event and hosts a booth offering official 2019 ElkFest apparel. Sales raise additional funds for the Jackson District Boy Scouts. 


Sacajawea and Lewis and Clark

Local author, Ken Thomasma, hosts a summer book signing at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center on Wednesday, June 5, from 11:00AM-1:00PM. His popular book, The truth about Sacajawea, depicts her critical role with Lewis and Clark and the expansion of the west. 


Art in the Environment: Perspectives in Place 

How to create beautiful sunrise images. Local photographer, Randy Issacson, hosts a free, public workshop at iconic Schwabacher's Landing on Saturday, June 1, from 7:00AM-11:00AM. Participants are encouraged to dress warm and bring a camera.
